The Turkish Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a business delegation organized by DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye) in Vilnius, Lithuania. The delegation’s visit, filled with key meetings and discussions, aimed to strengthen commercial ties and explore investment opportunities between Türkiye and Lithuania.
The delegation’s first stop was at the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, where they were warmly welcomed by Mr. Taurimas Valys, Vice President of both the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce and the Turkish Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce. This initial meeting set a collaborative tone for the rest of the visit.
Following this, the delegation visited the headquarters of European Merchant Bank (EM Bank) in Vilnius. The delegation was greeted by a distinguished panel including President Mr. Sarp Demiray, Vice President Mr. Ugurcan Ozver, Board Member and Commercial Counselor of the Turkish Embassy in Vilnius Mr. Ãœmit AteÅŸaÄŸaoÄŸlu, and Kaunas Representative Mr. Yasin Hamarat. Discussions focused on investment opportunities in Lithuania, and information about the Turkish Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce was shared. Mr. Serdar Kurt, President of DEIK – Lithuania, expressed his support and invited the bank’s board members to join the chamber, emphasizing the benefits of closer economic collaboration.
The day concluded with a visit to the Embassy of Türkiye in Vilnius, hosted by Ambassador Mr. Görkem Barış Tantekin. The delegation enjoyed a dinner featuring Turkish dishes, after which the Ambassador provided insights into the current economic situation in the Baltic region and discussed ongoing economic developments. At the end of the visit, Mr. Serdar Kurt presented gifts to the Ambassador as a token of appreciation for his hospitality and support.
Mr. Serdar Kurt, President of DEIK – Lithuania, played a pivotal role throughout the visit, highlighting the importance of continuous cooperation and engagement between the two nations. His efforts, along with the support of the Turkish Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce, are set to further enhance the commercial and cultural relationships between Türkiye and Lithuania.
